Head of Product
About Us
Sports Travel Group is a luxury sector B2C and B2B golf tour operator and event organiser trading as Golf Traveller. Our three founders have long histories in golf travel, hospitality and events and are seeking to change the way golf travel is presented and consumed. Our global client portfolio includes elite private clubs, leisure and golf tour operators, agents and concierge providers, HNW individuals, private family offices and corporate entities invested in golf.
Our offices are in London, St Andrews, Stockholm, Oslo and Singapore. We have ambitious plans for further growth and are looking for people with the same ambition to help us achieve them.
What we Do
We enhance the lives of our travellers by enabling transformative experiences that have golf at their core but go so far beyond the fairways.
You’ll be in charge of managing our Product division, focused on maintaining and improving our travel offering and on developing how we function in order to provide better service levels for our customers. The division encompasses the day-to-day handling of enquiries, translating a customer brief into a purchasable itinerary, and the ongoing development of our travel experiences and procurement strategy.
Overseeing the distribution of briefs to travel designers and reviewing proposed itineraries will be a daily responsibility, ensuring that our offers have accurately considered the brief and sit comfortably within the Golf Traveller product philosophy.
You will work with our team of designers and coordinators to improve the functionality of the division, information gathering and storage, supplier database management and contracting. It will also be your responsibility to create and deliver a framework for knowledge acquisition and sharing to educate our travel advisors and resellers on destination knowledge.
About You
We’re looking for an industry professional with at least five years’ experience in a product role within the luxury travel sector. You will have a sound understanding of contracting and procurement processes and possess a network of international supplier contacts, as well as extensive destination experience and knowledge. A well developed relationship with the game of golf and its language is considered a significant asset.
The ideal recruit will be entrepreneurial and driven, and eager to take the opportunity to own a business unit that will contribute significantly to the company’s continued growth.
